Windows Server 2003: should I diable IIS?
G'Day to you downunder:
I am trying to set up a FedOne server in Seattle.
My Dell Poweredge running Windows 2003 Server is currently using IIS to host my homepage (www.adproengineering.com) written using ASP.NET.
However, as I get more into FedOne as well as Java, I realize that it may be better to shutdown IIS and install another front end server (Apache?)
The alternative, it appears, is to redirect the Servlets and JSPs through to a server like Tomcat as outlined in http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-3.3-doc/tomcat-iis-howto.html however I do not know how that will interplay with OpenSSL and Openfire XMPP which is called for by http://jamespurser.com.au/blog/How_To_-_Install_WRS_On_Windows
Which would you recommend?
Cordially,
Allen Goldstein
