Wave In A Box - A How To
When Google announced the new Wave Platform they made a commitment to opening up the code, protocols and standards to ensure that Wave became something more than just another Google Beta.
True to their word the first big release of code was the FedOne Wave Reference Server. Written in Java, this bundle of code offers developers a real look at how Google is handling Operational Transforms and the important Federation Protocol.
As it stands the FedOne WRS consists of three parts:
- FedOne Wave Server
- FedOne Wave Client
- FedOne Agent Framework
This book will go through each of these components and detail how they work, why they work, and the future plans for each.
Part of the reason for this book is to create a discussion point around the FedOne Server. Hence each page will have a Talk page. Please use this area to talk about the contents of the page, corrections are always welcome.
As FedOne is very much a moving target, the information in this book may change from time to time.
